Klargester BioTec+ installations
The Klargester BioTec+ 3, a 9-person treatment plant, is a system we regularly discuss for suitable projects. It is not the right choice for every property: the final selection depends on the site assessment and manufacturer’s requirements.

Planning the discharge route
The right installation starts with the site. In England, the General Binding Rules depend on the discharge route and when the discharge began. If the relevant rules cannot be met, an environmental permit may be needed.
We help you consider the system, ground conditions and relevant approvals before installation. Read the Environment Agency guidance for the current requirements.
Common questions
Can a treatment plant replace my septic tank?
It may be an appropriate upgrade. The existing pipework, discharge route, space and access need to be assessed before the scope can be confirmed.
Does it need electricity?
Electrical requirements depend on the selected system. We include the required connection arrangements in the installation plan.
Will it still need emptying and servicing?
Yes. Follow the selected manufacturer’s operating, servicing and emptying instructions. Treatment does not remove the need for ongoing care.
